Ameriflight Metroliner Belly Lands On Golf Course With Cargo Of 56 Dogs

An Ameriflight charter service ended in disaster earlier this week after the plane crash-landed on a golf course in Waukesha. The flight was traveling from El Paso to Waukesha with three crewmembers onboard when it encountered problems on approach to the airport. You can find out more about this incident here.

GOL Introduces New Livery To Promote Brazil's Participation In FIFA's World Cup

The Brazilian carrier GOL Linhas Aéreas (G3) has introduced a special livery painted on one of its Boeing 737-800 aircraft. This livery is promoting the participation of Brazil's men's football squad in the upcoming FIFA World Cup, to be celebrated between November 20 and December 18. Cool: You Could Own Part Of An Upcycled Braathens Avro RJ85

The Avro RJ85 is becoming an increasingly rare sight in the skies worldwide. Indeed, data from ch-aviation.com shows that, today, just 13 are active across six operators. However, thanks to German memorabilia specialists Aviationtag, it is now possible to own part of one such aircraft that used to fly for Braathens (BRA).

Air Europa Expects 50 New Boeing 737 MAXs & 787 Dreamliners

Spanish carrier Air Europa has recently revealed it expects to incorporate 50 Boeing aircraft, including 737 MAX and 787 Dreamliner models, in the next few years. These planes would be leased from companies such as AerCap and Avolon and enter the airline between 2024 and 2026. You can read more about these plans here.

Virgin Australia Unveils Middle Seat Lottery Prizes That Money Can't Buy

In a continuation of its Bring On Wonderful campaign launched last month, Virgin Australia has announced a set of middle-seat lottery prizes that money can't buy. Bring On Wonderful was aimed at the theme that having a nice flight is just not good enough anymore; it has to be a wonderful flight. Central to the experience is turning the once-dreaded middle seat into the most sought-after seat on the plane.

Have $21,500? You Could Bid On An Abandoned Ilyushin Il-76

Next week, on Tuesday, November 22, a special auction is taking place in Turkey's capital, Ankara, at 14:30. The Turkish General Directorate of State Airports Authority is going to be auctioning an Ilyushin Il-76, and it is accepting bids starting at 400,000 Turkish lire (US$ 21,500). The aircraft in question is almost 40 years old.
