Airbus has announced that it is unlikely to meet its 2022 commercial aircraft delivery target. The manufacturer had hoped to deliver 700 commercial aircraft this year, but it looks set to fall short of that figure by around 70 aircraft by year-end.

The Difference A Year Makes: PLAY Has More Than Quadrupled Its November Passenger Numbers

This week, Icelandic low-cost carrier PLAY published its traffic figures for November 2022. All in all, the red-liveried airline is in a healthier position than last year, with its passenger numbers being more than four times higher than in November 2021. PLAY has also seen its load factor and network grow in the last 12 months.

Lufthansa Is Now Only Committed To Withdrawing 3 Airbus A380s From Storage

It looks as though Lufthansa may be quietly downsizing its Airbus A380 plans for next summer. The airline had previously said that it would withdraw four to five of the giants from storage, but, this week, a Lufthansa spokesperson told Simple Flying that the current plan is "to reactivate at least three A380s to be ready for operation early next summer".
