Emirates Airbus A380 Slide Inflates With Jet Bridge Attached In Manchester
Recently an Emirates Airbus A380 had an emergency slide open and inflate while the aircraft was parked at the gate. The incident occurred at Manchester Airport (MAN). The cause of the incident is unknown. From images captured within the terminal, it would appear that only one slide was deployed. The slide was attached to one of the exits connected to a jet bridge. It is unclear when the slide was deployed, whether it was before, after, or while the jet bridge was being attached.
Iberia Launches Its New Airbus A350 Cabin In Madrid
On December 22nd, Iberia announced that it had taken delivery of its latest Airbus A350, one that focuses on delivering the highest level of passenger satisfaction. Every cabin onboard has been redesigned on this A350, with business class seeing some new hardware. Airbus also created these new cabins using lighter materials, reducing the overall weight and allowing the aircraft to be more efficient.

As the end of 2022 nears, it is an excellent time to look at the world's busiest airports this year. Of course, it'll be a few months until the official full-year global passenger statistics are available from ACI and IATA. Until that is available, we'll look at the 'busiest' regarding flights, seats for sale, and available seat miles. Each measures something different, and each provides a different perspective.
Strong November: London Stansted Airport Reaches 97% Of Pre-COVID Passenger Levels
Christmas came early for London Stansted Airport (STN), with the facility having reported its best month since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic. The airport handled almost 2 million passengers in November, with its rolling 12-month total now exceeding 22 million. You can find out more about the facility's recovery here.
The 15 Busiest Airports In Europe Without US Flights
Next summer, some 54 airports across Europe will have non-stop US flights, based on the latest Cirium data. They include Aalborg and Gothenburg, and the likes of Dubrovnik, Rzeszów, and Tenerife South. Based on Gothenburg's total departing flights next summer, it ranks 90th in Europe, while Aalborg is 172nd. It raises the question: what about the busiest European airports without US service?
What To Expect From Malaysia Airlines' New Saudia Codeshare Agreement
This week, Asian carriers Malaysia Airlines and Saudia announced that they had signed a codeshare to enable increased cooperation and seamless connections between the two airlines. The deal will also see passengers in the countries of these airlines enjoy more travel options as their networks become more integrated.
